CITY GAME "MEET THE QUOTAS" Activity Overview

The original name of this Warsaw PRL style city game  is "300% of the norm!" which roughly translates as overdelivering quotes by 300%. Look for historical explanation below. It is Team building with a competitive twist in a retro PRL vibe. The goal of the game is to gather as many scarce goods and foreign currencies as possible.

Year 1982. You're in deep trouble, an SB agent (secret police) crashes in and accuses you of hostile activity. Threats are made but there's also a hint... you need to quickly get your hands on a bribe. You're racing to Prague to collect a stash from the treasures of the Polish People's Republic. The agent wouldn't say no to toilet paper, coupons, and cigarettes from Pewex.

Find characters from the '80s and convince them to hand over those hard-to-get goods. Conversations are monitored!

For the game, you’ll be split into a few teams. Each team will take a different route, equipped with props - a map, game cards, and suitcases from the PRL, which you’ll need to fill with rare goods. The team that collects the most goods and currency wins the game.

Use this PRL-style game to polish your team-building skills!

When placing your order, make sure to ask about expanding your integration with our extra options*:

The phrase “300% of the norm” comes from communist-era Poland and other Eastern Bloc countries. At that time, factory workers were given strict daily “norms” or production quotas they were expected to meet. To be praised as a model worker, you had to not only reach 100% of the quota, but dramatically exceed it. Propaganda often claimed that workers achieved “200%” or even “300% of the norm,” presenting them as heroes of socialist labor.

Today, in modern Polish, saying someone is working at “300% of the norm” is usually ironic or humorous. It means they are working extremely hard, giving way more than expected—or sometimes that they are forced to overperform in a slightly absurd way.

So it’s a mix of overachievement + sarcasm, rooted in old propaganda language.
