CITY GAME: CODEBREAKERS Poznan

The game takes place entirely outdoors, in the centre of Poznań, and engages participants in so many ways that at times it’s hard to tell reality from a spy movie — with pursuits of suspicious characters, tram getaways, searches for secret caches and meetings with contacts in the city’s less obvious corners.

• taking on the role of a secret agent in a pre-war setting — the group’s task is to obtain the encryption keys and deliver them, together with an Enigma machine model, to Polish contacts,
• an atmosphere of constant “spy paranoia” — players know they are being watched, but not by whom, so every passer-by, taxi driver or person sitting on a bench becomes a potential suspect,
• the chance to unmask spies using their phone camera — which often leads to hilarious situations, such as photographing random people or hiding in bushes,
• cinematic moments straight out of a real spy movie — pursuits, tram getaways, searches for secret caches and meetings with contacts in unusual corners of the city,
• operating a handmade model of the Enigma machine, working on a similar principle to the original — decrypting secret messages is easy to do, but incredibly satisfying,
• an element of suspense — the Enigma cannot be used if you get caught by the spies, making every attempt to decrypt a message feel like a small, thrilling operation.

This is a non-competitive activity — the group works together as one intelligence team, so it’s a great choice if you want to avoid dividing people into “winners and losers.”

The listed price applies to groups of up to 30 people. Each additional 10 people costs an extra 1,200 PLN. The maximum group size is 100 people.

The game can also be run in English for an additional fee of 1,990 PLN per group, regardless of the number of participants.
