NEW VIEW AT NOWA HUTA Activity Overview
If you want to combine some bonding time with a PRL-themed tour in Krakow, you’ve come to the right place! We’ll take you on an unforgettable journey back in time through Nowa Huta.
The trip kicks off with a pickup from anywhere in Krakow*, and then you'll hop on some vintage vehicles for a time travel journey to the heart of Nowa Huta. You'll get to admire the architecture of Central Square and today’s center of Nowa Huta, Aleje Róż, the entrance to the Metallurgical Plant, the Z and S buildings of the Administrative Center of the Steelworks, the famous sign of T. Sendzimir Steelworks, Ludowy Theatre, the IS2 tank monument at the Museum of Armed Struggle, and the Church of Our Lady Queen of Poland Ark of the Lord. Your guide will show you photos of the places you visit taken many years ago, allowing you to compare what these spots looked like back then and now. At the end of the tour, we’ll take you back to the city center.
You can also customize the trip with a visit to the former administrative buildings of the Lenin Steelworks, a visit to the TOPL command bunker under the administrative building, a visit to the director's private office with screenings of propaganda films, or a coffee or lunch break in a themed restaurant. There's also an option to conduct the trip in English.
