NEW VIEW AT NOWA HUTA Activity Overview
If you want to combine some bonding time with a PRL-themed tour in Krakow, you’ve come to the right place! We’ll take you on an unforgettable journey back in time through Nowa Huta.
The trip starts with a pickup from any location in Krakow*, and then you'll hop into vintage vehicles for a journey back in time to the heart of Nowa Huta. You'll get to admire the architecture of the Central Square and today's Nowa Huta center, Aleje Róż, the Gate of the Metallurgical Combine, the Z and S buildings of the Administrative Center of the Steelworks, the famous sign of Huta im. T. Sendzimira, the Ludowy Theatre, the IS2 tank monument at the Museum of Armed Deed, and the Church of Our Lady Queen of Poland Arka Pana. Your guide will show you photographs of these places taken many years ago, allowing you to compare how they looked then and now. At the end of the tour, we'll drop you back off in the city center.
You can further personalize the tour by adding a visit to the administrative buildings of the former Lenin Steelworks, a visit to the command bunker TOPL under the administrative building, a visit to the private director's office with screenings of propaganda films, or a coffee or lunch break in a period restaurant. There's also an option to conduct the tour in English.
