PRL TRAIL TOUR Activity Overview
We invite you on an exciting journey through time, exploring the history and industrial heritage of Krakow.
We'll pick you up in vintage cars from a chosen spot in Krakow. Our fleet includes Nyski, Fiat 126p, and Skoda 120. Then we'll kick off a tour tracing the footsteps of communism in Krakow. Along different parts of the route, participants can switch seats in the vehicles, giving everyone a chance to experience a ride in these iconic cars from the past.
Tour highlights include: Admiring the Architecture of Central Square and Today's Center of Nowa Huta: We'll start at Central Square, where you'll learn about the history and unique architecture of this special place. Strolling along Rose Avenue at the Former Site of Lenin's Monument: Walking down Rose Avenue allows you to feel the spirit of the past, discovering the history and changes that have occurred in this area. Gates of the Metallurgical Complex, Buildings Z and S of the Administrative Center of the Steelworks, the Famous "Huta im. T. Sendzimira" Sign: We'll continue exploring unique sites related to the industrial history of Nowa Huta. IS-2 Tank at the Museum of Armed Deed in the Górali Estate: We'll delve into the military history of the city, stopping at the Museum of Armed Deed where you can admire the IS-2 tank and learn more about the times of the fight for independence. Church of Our Lady Queen of Poland - Lord's Ark: We'll showcase the symbolic Church of Our Lady Queen of Poland, which was the first church in Nowa Huta, built thanks to the determination and effort of the residents. Return in Vintage Cars from the Complex to Central Square.
For an additional fee of + 99 PLN net/person, we can wrap up the trip with a meal at a retro-style restaurant serving Polish classics like dumplings, herring, compote, etc.
