PRL EVENING Activity Overview
Integration in Warsaw straight from the PRL era. We're heading out for a cruise through atmospheric bars from the PRL times, enjoying drinks and munching on snacks from the days of the "One True PZPR".
At the beginning of the tour, we’ll take you in a Nysa van to Constitution Square, where you’ll have to find a worker who looks like Lech Wałęsa. It’s a bas-relief on one of the building façades. There, you’ll find a clue telling you where to go next. Then we’ll head to the Ministry of Agriculture, where a quiz about the system will be waiting for you. For every correct answer, you’ll receive meat ration coupons, which we’ll soon be able to exchange for a bottle of vodka. Next, we’ll make our way towards the Palace of Culture, where you’ll take the podium and deliver a speech by the First Secretary of the Party. Along the way, we’ll listen to a song about Nowa Huta, which everyone will have to learn so that you can all sing this hit together. From there, you’ll head to Praga to visit the Museum of the Polish People’s Republic. Here, we’ll step into a small apartment furnished in the style of the era, a state official’s office, a shop, a bar, and a street from those times. We’ll see how people lived and what their homes were like, and we’ll invite you to enjoy a small snack typical of the era. At the end of the tour, we’ll drop you off at a designated location in the city centre.
* We can take a maximum of 7 people in one Nysa van. For larger groups, we’ll provide more Nysa vans as needed, and the price should be multiplied by the number of vehicles.
