RIB (Rigid Inflatable Boat) is a super-powerful inflatable patrol boat with engines over 200 HP, capable of reaching speeds over 70 km/h on the waves of the Gulf of Gdańsk — exactly the kind of craft used by special units, border guards, and sea rescuers. An hour-long ride on a RIB across the open bay is one of the most adrenaline-pumping attractions available in the Tricity area — a powerful engine, salty air, waves beneath you, and a view of the Tricity skyline from the sea make for an experience that's hard to match. It's an option for companies that really want to surprise their participants.

How many people can fit on one RIB and what fleet do you have available in the Tricity area?

Accepted Answer

Each RIB can take up to 8 people (+ a professional skipper). We have several craft, allowing us to handle groups significantly larger than 8 people — all boats set sail simultaneously in a convoy, competing with each other or conducting parallel rides. For groups that want one large RIB instead of several smaller ones, we also have 9-meter units with 300 HP engines that can take up to 11 passengers — details are arranged when booking.

How are the RIB boats equipped and what ensures the safety of participants?

Accepted Answer

Our RIB boats have a full sea class and are equipped with: radar, GPS, sonar, navigation plotter, VHF-DSC radio, propulsion system control, and complete safety equipment — life jackets for each participant, an anchor, and signaling devices. Each unit is operated by a professional, specially trained, and experienced skipper who continuously monitors water conditions and adjusts speed to the current conditions on the bay. A life jacket is mandatory for every participant throughout the ride.

How long is the RIB ride and what is included in the package price?

Accepted Answer

The standard ride lasts 60 minutes on the water; the total event time with transport from and back to the Tricity area is approximately 2.5–3 hours. The package price includes: minibus transport from a selected location in Gdańsk, Gdynia, or Sopot and back, 60 minutes of RIB ride on the Gulf of Gdańsk, life jackets for all participants, a professional skipper, and event coordinator assistance throughout. If participants arrive at the starting point on their own transport, the price drops by 20 PLN per person.

What is the RIB ride route and can you steer the boat yourself?

Accepted Answer

The route leads across the open Gulf of Gdańsk — the skipper chooses it on the fly, depending on current weather conditions, wind direction, and wave state. Typically, the boat departs from one of the Gdańsk or Gdynia marinas towards the open bay, reaching full speed once away from the port zone. On request and at the skipper's discretion, participants may hold the helm for a moment — it's one of the most exciting moments of the entire ride. Longer routes are also available: Gdańsk/Sopot–Hel or Gdańsk–Gdynia–Gdańsk — time and price are determined individually.

Does the RIB ride take place in any weather and when can it be canceled?

Accepted Answer

The RIB ride is dependent on current conditions in the Gulf of Gdańsk — with wind strength up to about 4–5 Beaufort and safe waves, the ride takes place normally. In stronger winds or storms, the skipper decides whether to shorten the route, stay closer to shore, or — in extreme cases — cancel the ride. In such situations, we offer an alternative attraction on the same date or to reschedule. The RIB season in the Tricity area runs from May to the end of September — outside the season, unit availability is limited.

Is the RIB ride available in English for international groups?

Accepted Answer

Yes — both the skipper and event coordinator communicate in English. The RIB is an absolutely language-transcending attraction — the powerful roar of the engine, splashing waves, and the view of the Tricity from the open bay require no commentary in any language. For foreign guests, it's one of the most spectacular experiences available in Poland — just a few minutes from the center of Gdańsk, you can feel like a special forces operator on the open sea.

Can the number of participants be changed after making a reservation for the RIB and until when is this possible?

Accepted Answer

The number of participants can be changed — please report the correction no later than 10 business days before the planned event, so the coordinator can appropriately plan the number of units and the ride schedule. Summer dates in July and August are very popular — we encourage you to confirm the group composition and date as early as possible, as the number of available RIBs on a single date is limited.

What description appears on the invoice for organizing the RIB ride — Patrol Boats?

Accepted Answer

The invoice for organizing a corporate attraction usually includes the description: “organization of team-building / corporate event / workshop". If your company requires a different description due to accounting department requirements or internal settlement policy, please ask us for details when placing your order.

Question 10

Do you issue a proforma invoice before the RIB — Patrol Boats ride?

Accepted Answer

Yes, payment is made based on a proforma invoice. The final VAT invoice will be received after the event, as the number of participants may change by then — we want the settlement to always match the actual number of people participating in the event.
